Gateway to Prana: Empowering the Neck/Shoulder Axis in our Practice | Bo Forbes | 2hr Session |
| Class Description : The neck/shoulder axis is a gateway to pranic regulation and emotional health. Freedom in this axis helps the front body and heart area to open. Limited mobility or stability can lead to "Closed Heart Syndrome" and pranic dysreglation. When this happens, the cervical spine and rotator cuff become vulnerable to injury, and the emotional body is prone to anxiety and depression. In this class, we'll learn postural alignment cues and fascial techniques for to stabilize and release the neck/shoulder axis and regulate prana. We'll also explore asana adaptations for neck and shoulder injury prevention. These tools will help you increase pranic flow, regulate your nervous system, enhance emotional well-being, and facilitate self-expression. |

Twist your DNA! | Will Lau | 2hr Session |
| Class Description : Get rid of habitual tendencies, renew your information, renew your DNA! It's always been taught that the human body is made up of our karma, meaning all our actions. All that we do with our body, speech and mind are a result of past experiences, which reinforces repetition or habits. Bad habits create a downward spiral, thus trapping us in the never-ending torture of samsara. The Seven Chakras of the body are really windows that reflect our perception of the "world" or some may say the "universe" that we live in. Each chakra is responsible for a specific "kind" of relationship that deals with "others". How we treat others based on our habitual tendencies will karmically result in a certain condition with our chakras that really makes up our well-being, influencing how we see the world. That is, what goes around comes around. The physical asana practice then becomes a very practical way of resolving our past karma when we know exactly which asana groups correspond to which chakra, thereby directly accessing the karma that is stuck within. This will be a fun, conscious and physical class - all asana groups will be done with twisting variations. As we twist our physical body, we encode new information to our DNA, we learn to break free from the bondage of karma (habitual tendencies), ultimately changing our path to our desired course towards happiness and enlightenment. |
